As many of you know, I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy student at FIU. I am a proud Panther! So I was very, very honored to get to photograph the unveiling of the portrait of Nicole Wertheim, our school's namesake. She is the benefactor of the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences, and her husband is the benefactor of the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, since even though I have been a student here for one school year, I haven't ever seen these people. And even though I didn't get to meet them in person, I was within a stone's throw from them, and they come across as absolutely charming. They seem really down to earth and interested in our school and the well-being of its students. So much so that they randomly decided to donate another 1 million to our school. NBD. This wedding felt perfectly aligned with Alyssa and Rich's whole vibe: earthy, down-to-earth, and a lot of fun. The ceremony was at the beautiful Fern Forest Nature Center. You follow a long boardwalk back amongst the ferns, until you come across a beautiful place for a nature-loving couple's wedding. They transform beautiful still pictures into living monuments to your special day. I had the honor of shooting Sara and Jerry's wedding in Williamsburg Virginia.
